Threat Level Reports
GoBag.One™ | GoBag or Stay Home™
Situational awareness is the first step toward survival. The Threat Level Reports page explains what each level means, how it connects to the GoBag or Stay Home™ doctrine, and how to act when the needle moves. Your 4-level GoBag Threat Meter appears in the right sidebar for quick reference — this page gives the full breakdown and doctrine-backed actions for each stage.
🟨 YELLOW – Advisory (Baseline)
Meaning: This is the floor, not “all clear.” Elevated caution is the normal state for a prepared person. No active, direct threats, but conditions can change quickly.
- Examples: Stable grid but storms on the radar; calm streets with minor local incidents; seasonal hazard periods starting.
- Action: Maintain readiness drills, rotate supplies, top off consumables, keep GoBag staged near your exit.
- GoBag vs Stay Home: Operate from Stay Home with readiness to shift. Keep comms live and transport plans current.
🟧 ORANGE – Be Ready
Meaning: A high likelihood of disruption within hours or days. Situations are moving; the risk is elevated enough to warrant heightened posture.
- Examples: Large protests planned in your area; severe weather watches; wildfire within evacuation radius; visible infrastructure strain.
- Action: Pre-load vehicle, stage GoBags in immediate reach, secure valuables, confirm rally points.
- GoBag vs Stay Home: Stay Home if secure but poised for immediate departure. If away from home, plan alternate return routes.
🟥 RED – Act Now
Meaning: An immediate, active threat is unfolding — seconds or minutes matter. This is execution time, not decision time.
- Examples: Mandatory evacuation order; tornado warning; active shooter nearby; visible fire, flood, or chemical hazard.
- Action: Execute your pre-planned Go or Stay Home response without delay.
- GoBag vs Stay Home: Follow your pre-set trigger point — leave or shelter in place based on safest option right now.
🟪 PURPLE – Sustained Crisis
Meaning: The event has escalated into a long-term survival environment. This is the reality preppers train for — days, weeks, or months without normal infrastructure.
- Examples: Grid-down scenario; widespread civil breakdown; major natural disaster aftermath; long-term pandemic disruption.
- Action: Shift into long-term survival operations — ration supplies, secure perimeter, manage power/water, maintain morale.
- GoBag vs Stay Home: Stay Home if defensible and sustainable; GoBag if resupply or relocation becomes necessary for survival.
✅ Pro Tip
Use YELLOW days to refine skills and rotate supplies; ORANGE days to pre-load and confirm routes; RED and PURPLE are execution phases — no hesitation, no wasted motion.
